Born in Oregon and raised in Washington State, Chris Roy graduated cum laude from Gonzaga University in 1993 and obtained his law degree from the University of Oregon in 1998. After working in both the public and private sectors, Chris started Roy Law (now Roy Law Group) in 2009 to represent people who have been denied disability insurance benefits. Chris has handled hundreds of disability insurance cases at all stages, including applications, appeals, and litigation in state and federal courts.

Approximately seventy-five percent of Roy Law Group’s cases are devoted to ERISA-governed long-term disability insurance disputes, with most clients located on the West Coast and within the federal jurisdiction of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Chris is driven by his desire to help people go up against big insurance companies to get what they rightfully deserve – a settlement or a win.

Darrin Class holds a law degree from the University of Washington and has practiced in Saipan, a United States Territory in the Northern Pacific, as well as throughout the Pacific Northwest, where he has practiced in civil litigation firms. Darrin has represented a broad array of clients from citizens of Bangladesh and China to multi-national corporations.

In addition to his legal education, Darrin holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Marketing, and a Master of Business Administration in International Business and Management from the University of Oregon.

Outside of work, Darrin is the proud father of four young children, the youngest of which are eight-year-old twin girls. He is an avid runner often found along the trails of Forest Park.

Malorie Quinlan has worked as a legal assistant for 10 years for small to mid-size firms. She works really well with clients and is attentive to each of their specific needs.

She was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona and moved to Portland, Oregon with her husband and cat due to her love of the Pacific Northwest and all things outdoors.

Angela Hoyhtya incorporates years of legal experience, customer service supervising, and motherhood into her passion for helping people who reach out to Roy Law Group. She has an in-depth understanding of disability insurance disputes, ERISA law, and the insurance companies’ tactics for getting out of paying people their entitled disability benefits. Listening to every potential client’s issue in search of a way that we may help them is what she does best.

Angela works diligently each and every day so that when she goes home to her loving husband, two children, and three fur babies, she feels accomplished due to helping so many people. When she’s not working, Angela finds joy in hauling her kids (furry ones included) on new adventures all over the great northwest.

Kali’s legal background has always involved some form of disability law, be it Social Security or private insurance. After watching members of her own family struggle through the difficult process of obtaining disability benefits, she is more than happy to work in a field that helps other people negotiate this process. She believes there is nothing more satisfying than when a client wins their appeal and proves that they are deserving of receiving benefits.

Kali Mustafa is a native Oregonian and loves making Portland her home. She likes to travel and has backpacked through Western Europe and North Africa. She is an audio-visual geek as she loves anything to do with music and film. Running is one of her favorite hobbies; she has completed two Hood to Coast relays and a half marathon. In 2010, Kali earned a BS in Business Management.

Holly Cole has over fifteen years of legal experience and has worked extensively throughout the Multnomah County court system helping to defend indigent clients. She endeavors to make sure that the playing field is always level for everyone, and her compassionate spirit is what drives her in all areas of life. She is grateful to have found a professional home at Roy Law Group, where her ideals are in line with the company’s core values.

Born and raised in Oregon, Holly has an infectious and possibly deafening laugh, and values humor above nearly everything else. She is an avid musician, audiophile, and metaphysical explorer.
